What can McDonald’s possibly be thinking?

I don’t know if all McDonald’s are like this, but the one Lisa and I went to the morning would make Ray Kroc turn over in his grave!

At this particular location, the creamer AND sugar for your coffee are located behind the cashiers lines! Meaning, that if you order a coffee, you will get a cup that you can fill yourself by the soft drinks, but you cannot add any creamer or sugar yourself. The workers have to do that for you.

What in the world are they thinking?

I can be trusted to fill and re-fill my own coffee, but I cannot be trusted to add my own cream and sugar!?!?

Crazy, huh!

When I goto McDonalds I like to play “find the bottle neck”. If that game gets old I play “first one to spot common sense gets 100 bucks”.

That’s ridiculous. And as far as I know, not all the locations are stingy with the condiments, but I have been to several who follow suit and hold their sugar, creamer and yes, even ketchup and salt, hostage behind the counter. These are usually the same places that are uberhyper about the number of Mc’sauces’ they hand out for an order of nuggets.

But it’s better than McD’s over seas. In England (and even Germany I think) they charge for the condiments.

Here’s a solution – go to starbucks instead cause you can get a way better (& price comparable) house coffee and all the cream and sugar you can handle. Half & half, whole or 2% if you so choose.

Or 7-11 has upgraded their typical swill and now serves a decent house coffee and an array of specialty creamers and flavors. Plus they have donuts :-)

Either way, life’s too short to take your business to places that don’t get it. . .and not leaving the cream and sugar out for the coffee customers is ‘not getting it’ in my book.

Was out of coffee at the house yesterday, so I just went to Starbucks for my morning cup.

Got all the ‘real cream’, half-n-half, that I wanted as well as real, natural sugar.

As J-man said, apparently Starbucks ‘gets it’ cause they let me ‘get it’. The cream and sugar that is!

    J-man rocks!

Whataburger is getting to be just as bad.

“Would you like ketchup and napkins, sir?”

Why nooooo. I’ll just eat my fries with the mustard that falls out of the bottom of my burger and onto my napkinless lap. Thanks for asking, though!

    And Wendy’s, too!

How bout that for service? Sometimes, I wonder are they in business to sell me food or just inconvenience me?
