Sister Blogs

You might have wondered why you haven’t heard from the Piglet Paper crew in a while or as often. And as faithful readers, we thought we would let you know why.

When we started Piglet Paper, our original intent was for it to be a place for our travel-logs while two-wheeling on the open road. But as you have experienced, Piglet Paper has become this sort of a hodge podge of different stuff, hence our new tag line: “an eclectic mix of motorcycling, media, mania and whatever suits our fancy”.

We both became so intrigued with blogging and all that entails, that we just posted anything and everything here on Piglet Paper. But then one day the bright idea struck us to start other blogs that were more suited for the kind of things we were posting. So we did!

Piglet Paper gave us the experience of figuring out what we liked to write about. As it turns out, Ronn likes to write about tips, tricks and gadgetry and Lisa likes to write philosophical, meandering analogies-the kind of things she thinks about. So it is only appropriate to introduce to you here Beatnik Biker and Life Wonderments. We are certain that no explanation is needed about which blog belongs to who.

Over the next several weeks, you will see Piglet Paper begin to migrate back to its original roots, especially as prime motorcycling season lies in wait. Yes, we plan on riding ALOT this year! So we will have plenty of travel-logs and interesting things along the way to share with you!

You will also start to see changes to some the posts currently on Piglet Paper. We will be migrating some of these to Beatnik Biker and Life Wonderments, but we will leave you note every time we do.

Of course, once you check out Beatnik Biker and Life Wonderments, if you like what you see, you can always subscribe to those blogs, too!

Clean Your Cloudy Drinking Glasses

Cloudyglasses-1

If you are like me, or most people I know, somewhere in your cupboard, there is at least one glass that has been clouded by hard water. Seems you scrub and scrub and scrub only to dry the glass and the cloudiness returns.

Help is on the way, however!

Apply some cheap (apparently, the cheaper the better), white toothpaste to the glass and scrub with a toothbrush. And like magic, your hard water clouds should disappear.

How’s that for simple?

Therapy of the Open Road

Be sure to pick up your copy of Good Times Magazine, The Arts & Entertainment Guide for West Texas. They have a calendar of events that’s one of the best I’ve seen around these parts. It includes all kinds of info about cool events around the State, everything from music to comedy and everything in between. And, it’s free!

But, of course, the coolest part is the Rubber Side Down column that Ronn and I author monthly. :) You can click here to read our column in the Feb issue or you can pick up your own copy and read all the other cool stuff, too. See Short Ride, Take it Easy for a quick list of where you can get one.
