p class=”MsoNormal”>The city of San Angelo lies on multiple angles and I found myself getting frustrated because I was lost. Ronn quickly reminded me that planning to travel and expecting not to get lost was trying to plan the plan, AND the results, which I have long since known is insane, so I quickly let that go and got centered and in the moment again.
Once I finally got downtown, I was able to indulge in about an hour of looking in two stores I really enjoy. Sassy Fox and J. Wilde’s. Both should be on every girl’s “must-go-to” list and guys—you can score major points by taking her to either of these two stores.

p class=”MsoNormal”>Sassy Fox has tons of way cool shoes. Yes, I admit it; I love shoes! So much so, I have been known to buy a pair of shoes before I have anything to wear with them. Which, of course, gives me the excuse to then buy a new outfit. It drives Ronn crazy! Well, Sassy Fox also has great clothes that will give you great ideas about things you could make if you were so inclined and they have a FAB dressing room area complete with fuzzy carpet. They have kids clothes if you have the little ones tagging along and also jewelry and Brighton stuff. And you can’t miss the soda shop where you can indulge in a malt to slurp while shopping.
J. Wilde’s also has great clothes and shoes, but they also have all sorts of way-cool accessories from football diaper bags to picture frames. They even have one-of-a kind pieces of furniture painted and decorated in the coolest ways scattered throughout the store. Another great place to get ideas! The thing I like most about this store though is they have a good-sized selection of women’s cowboy boots. Not just plain cowboy boots that happen to be in women’s sizes, but cowboy boots with flair! And if you go way to the back of the store, they also have a multi-level room where you can look at all kinds of things from carpet to wall paintings. It’s a must-do if you are in San Angelo.
[...] Day 1 Route & Ride Ratings-Thursday, September 7 San Angelo Shopping Flamingos in Brady Red in Fred Luckenbach Wimberley [...]
I love the shops in San Angelo. Next time Kate has a soccer tournament there, I’ll see if you would like to join us. How did you carry the shoes on your bike?
Just for the record, I didn’t buy any shoes precisely because I didn’t have any room to carry them. You can see in one of the pictures on the Luckenbach post that I was loaded down.
But not buying any shoes was not for a lack of not finding any I didn’t want, that’s for sure!
