This is the third part of a 3-part series on examining the three basic options for getting into business. I am a proponent of franchises, although I realize they are not for everyone. However, it has been my experience that people usually discount franchises based on preconceived, and often, incorrect notions, just because they don’t know what they don’t know. Franchises have many advantages and I discuss those in this article. A franchise may not fit you, but before you discount it as a possibility, make sure you know what you are leaving on the table. Don’t discount something you don’t know anything about! See also Part 1: Starting an Independent Business and Part 2: Buying Someone Else’e Business.
